Staying Faithful in a World That Often Isn’t
Faith. It’s one of those things we’re taught not to bring up in polite conversation—especially not at work, and definitely not online. I grew up in a home where there were clear lines about what was acceptable to discuss with friends, family, or colleagues. And when it came to a boss? Forget it.
For the past two decades, I followed those unspoken rules. But over time, I noticed a shift. Social media became a place where nearly anything could be shared—politics, opinions, personal struggles—but somehow, faith still felt like a taboo topic.
And yet, it’s faith—my faith—that has carried me through some of life’s hardest moments.
There have been times when I had absolutely nothing tangible to hold onto. No plan. No proof. Just a feeling, a whisper, a belief that somehow, it would all work out. That God would pull me through.
Yes, I said it—God. I wouldn’t have had the courage to start Abi Designs without Him. It was through faith that I took the leap, even when there were no guarantees, just a vision and a prayer.
We live in a world filled with hate, violence, and division. And I kept asking myself—what can we actually do to counterbalance all that darkness?
I’m not claiming Abi Designs will change the world on its own. No one brand or person can. But I do believe we all have the power to bring more peace, understanding, and kindness into the world—starting with what we put out into it. Whether through art, words, or small gestures, we can inspire one another toward light instead of contributing to the noise.
Let’s fill our feeds with more beauty. More love. More hope.
And sometimes, hope shows up in unexpected ways.
Just last week, I was feeling overwhelmed by everything on my plate. The list kept growing, and I was making very little progress. Out of the blue, the doorbell rang—and there they were: the most beautiful, thoughtful flowers. The colors matched Abi Designs perfectly, and the message inside touched my heart deeply.
So today, I’m breaking the rules I was raised with. I’m speaking openly about what fuels me: my faith. And I hope this encourages you to share what fuels you—whatever it may be.
Together, we can build something brighter.
